We'd like to introduce our Super Dirt Late Model sanctioning body and racing series. It's our desire for you to understand our philosophy and its relationship to our professionally presented auto racing programs. J.A.M. Motorsports Incorporated, is the parent holding company for the Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS). It is a philosophical outgrowth of its predecessor, the North East Winners Series (NEWS). Although the organization was new in 1997, the personnel have been involved in the sport for many years.

The sanctioning body is solely owned by the Geesey brothers. Jeff, the eldest, has been actively involved in the sport for more than 42 years. He serves as the Public Relations and Race Coordinator for the Series. Andy, Series President, is the front straight-away lineup steward. And finally, Matt serves as chief lineup/pit steward.  Also included in the Series operation are: Bill Protzman - Technical inspector; Rich Daubner - Assistant Tech Inspector.

These dedicated individuals have guided the Series to its current position of prominence within the Late Model fraternity, resulting in continued growth. They have assisted in race meets at other Northeast region tracks and their faces are certainly recognizable and familiar to many. Surrounded by Late Model drivers and owners for the past several seasons in various capacities, each individual has brought to the organization strength and preparedness as well as a committed formula for success.

We feel the key component to successfully sanction, present, and be received, is the understanding of the four principal elements and different groups which must be satisfied.

  • FANS - We present a quick, quality show that has fans returning again and again. Once that concept is understood, the plan must be executed.

  • DRIVERS - We work within the confines of the rules that govern any race meet to meet our driver's needs.

  • TRACK PROMOTERS - These important people ensure monetary success for all and we strive to give them all the help we can with our promotions and how we run our races.

  • SPONSORS - These folks provide the services fans seek thereby creating a brand-name awareness and increased market share.

For 2008, the Series is expecting a year similar to 2007.  Currently for the '08 the Series has events slated to be held at (in alphabetical order): Allegany County Speedway "The Rock" (MD), Bedford Speedway (PA), Hesston Speedway (PA), Hilltop Speedway (OH), Lernerville Speedway (PA), Portsmouth Raceway Park (OH), Sharon Speedway (OH), Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway (VA).

We will not exceed 30-36 race dates in a given season. Total seating capacity at participating tracks could realize a climb in total fan attendance to a combined total of 200,000 people.

Each of the Series' stops will carry a minimum
$30,000 purse. There are three additional tiers to the purse structure, which could boost total purses for individual events to $125,000. Several higher dollar events are also in the schedule.  With sponsorship assistance, the Series will carry a point fund estimated at $50,000 in cash and approximately $50,000 in prizes during our 12th season. It is our desire to continue to increase the post-season awards upward topping $150,000 in cash, prizes, and contingencies.
